Roshan Singh
Owner and Principal Dentist

Roshan attended Newcastle University, and since graduating in 2010 has continued to develop his clinical skills. Studying towards additional qualifications, pursuing special interests in Orthodontics, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, he excels in perfecting natural smiles.
With a strong understanding of patient needs and a vision for his own practice, Roshan became principal and co-owner at Alma in 2020. A welcome return to the area he grew up, having attending Christ Church First School and Tynemouth College only streets away!
In his spare time he enjoys sports, reading and is a technology enthusiast. He likes to explore the great outdoors with his family and dog Maximus.
David Lamb
Owner and Implant Surgeon

David graduated from Newcastle in 2010, going on to pursue a special interest in Implantology and own a practice in Durham.
David has extensive experience as a practice owner, placing implants, and is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons
After meeting Roshan at the entry interview to Dental School, the two have been close friends since.
As a co-owner at Alma, he has a keen interest in technology and modern dentistry, and works closely to implement new advances to Alma's well established practices.
David loves spending time with his wife Katy and 2 children. David enjoys: Science, Dinosaurs, and weird & wonderful facts.
Amanda Whyatt
Practice Manager
Amanda joined Alma in 2000 as a dental nurse, progressing to senior dental nurse and then becoming our Practice Manager. She has been ensuring the smooth running of the practice since 2007. She is a people person and enjoys building connections with both staff and patients. Amanda is also very family orientated, so, in her spare time she loves having quality time with her family & 2 children. Their favourite memories are from weekends away and cooking/ baking together.
Tanya Vyland

Tanya qualified in dental surgery in 2014 and has been a part of team since August 2020. Her patients have described her as “Calm” “Gentle” and “Lovely”. She has special interests in general dentistry, orthodontics, and most recently: Invisalign. She takes pride in putting nervous patients at ease and she enjoys building relationships with patients when improving their smiles. In her spare time, she enjoys walks with her dog – Koda. She also loves to go shopping and socialise with friends.
Wen Lee

Wen graduated in 2014 from Newcastle University. She started with us in May 2024 and is lovely having her in the team.
Her favourite part of the job the job is restoring patients smiles and has a special interest in cosmetic treatment. She also enjoys seeing children patients and ensuring sure they have a positive experience from a young age.
Wen likes to spend her free time with her family and little boy.
Harry McKenzie

Harry Graduated from Sheffield university in 2016, gaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree with honours. He has worked closely with our clinicians for years at another practice, so is a familiar face to the team! He joined Alma at the beginning of 2023, and to no surprise: his patient feedback has been phenomenal.
Harry enjoys offering orthodontic treatment with Invisalign clear aligners, to help individuals achieve confidence in their smile.
Outside of work, he likes to unwind on long dog walks, keeping active playing tennis and five-a-side football, also being a keen supporter of the Toon Army!
Sasha Brannen

Sasha is a 2014 Newcastle University graduate who joined team in July 2022. She is a GDC registered specialist orthodontist and a member of the faculty of Dental Surgeons. Alongside working in the dental practice, she has a special interest in Maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dental surgery. She has an orthodontic MSC and is training to be a consultant in dental hospital. Outside of work Sasha likes to spend time at her allotment, and also enjoys skiing and cooking.

Desi started with us in February 2024 and is such a great asset to the practice. She graduated in 2016 as a dentist in Albania, and she worked as a dentist for 4 years there. She moved to the UK in 2020 and got her licence to practice Hygiene Therapy. She is also currently working towards getting her ORE so that she can practice dentistry in the UK. Her favourite part of the job is taking care of the patients and truly making a difference in their lives by improving their dental hygiene. Although she is very busy studying and looking after her family. In her spare time, Desi likes going on walks at the seaside and cooking Italian food!

Danielle is a 2006 Leeds graduate and has been in dentistry for 22 years. She started off her career as a dental nurse and progressed into a dental therapist, which she has now been for 17 years. Her favourite part of the job is providing patients with confidence and building rapport. She also loves to educate and motivate patients whilst on their oral hygiene journey.
In her spare time, she likes to do yoga and take spin classes. When she can, she loves to go to the lake district for walks.
Helen Robson

Helen has been in this role since March 2022 after spending the last 12 years in the travel industry. She has a distinguished career in a customer service environment and is passionate about ensuring our patients walk away happy having had the best possible experience.
Helen likes long walks with her dog, cold water swimming, keeping active and socialising with family and friends.
Jodie Wyatt
Receptionist
Jodie is our new Full-time Receptionist.
She has previous experience in customer service from working in a hotel, and loves meeting new people. So far, her favourite parts of the job have been learning about dental treatments and meeting our lovely patients for the first time. In Jodie's spare time, she enjoys going to the gym and keeping active.
Lauren Johnson

Lauren has been a part of the Alma Dental team since August 2020 but has been working in dentistry since May 2016. Lauren has a bright and bubbly personality, enjoys meeting and building relationships with patients, which is ideal for her role as patient
co-ordinator . She has a keen interest in restorative dentistry especially implants. In her spare time Lauren likes to travel with her husband, go to the theatre and sing/ play musical instruments.
Karen Winn

Karen has been at the practice for 14 years and has been qualified as a dental nurse for 20 years. Her impeccable organisational skills and knowledge of infection control makes her such an essential part of the Alma Dental team. She always aims to make patients feel listened to and cared for. Her interests are: visiting National Trust properties, sci-fi, astronomy, and she has a love of animals.
Carol Keys

Carol joined our practice in 2017 and has extensive experience of dental nursing in both general dentistry and orthodontics. She has a qualification in dental radiography, and has undergone further training in 3-D scanning. Carol has many and varied interests outside of work, including painting and drawing, drumming, bell ringing, and wildlife watching.

Deborah joined Alma in 2007, qualifying as a dental nurse in 2010. Her favourite part of the job is being a member of the team and building relationships with patients. Debs has 2 children and a Shih Tzu named Tina. The family likes to go on dog walks on the beach, especially in the summertime. She also likes to play tennis with her oldest son.
Leigh Durrant

Leigh started at Alma in January 2022, and is training to become a dental nurse. She describes the most rewarding part of the job as seeing patients walk out of surgery happy and satisfied with the treatment results and also likes nursing for implant treatments. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, yoga and dance classes, and socialising with friends and family.

Millie started her dental nurse apprenticeship with us in September. Whilst she enjoys learning so much about dental nursing, her favourite part of the job so far is meeting and connecting with patients. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
